Porsche Roughroads showcase: Which car brands do camping lovers in Singapore find most innovative?
German automaker Porsche recently promoted two car models geared towards campers, as part of its Roughroads showcase display in Singapore from mid-May to June. Both the 911 Dakar sports car and Cayenne SUV are built for off-road travel on rugged terrain and are equipped with roof tenting and other outdoor adventuring features.
But which car brands do Singaporeans with an interest in camping and caravanning think are most technologically innovative?
Latest data from YouGov Profiles reveals that among consumers in Singapore who indicate “camping / caravanning” as among the holidays they enjoy, BMW was the automotive brand most considered to be a “a leader in innovation and technology” with over three in five (42%) indicating so.
Tesla is the runner-up with one in three (32%) viewing it as an innovation leader, followed by Audi (26%), Toyota (24%) and Mercedes-Benz (23%) where a quarter say the same.
(In contrast, among all Singapore consumers, Tesla comes ahead of BMW as the brand most seen as a leader in innovation and technology, while Toyota comes in third before Mercedes-Benz and Audi.)
Meanwhile, Hyundai and Mitsubishi (all 14%) jointly take the sixth spot among camping and caravanning enthusiasts, just before Mazda, KIA and Porsche (all 13%) who are in seventh place, and Suzuki (11%) in eighth.
Finally, Lexus and Jaguar (both 10%) and Nissan and Infiniti (both 9%) round up the top 10 automotive brands most viewed as technologically innovative in Singapore.
