This is America’s favorite Girl Scout Cookie
It’s officially Girl Scout Cookie season.
A YouGov poll of more than 7,000 US adults has discovered once and for all which Girl Scout cookie America likes the best.
About one-quarter (24%) of people say that Thin Mints are their favorite type of Girl Scout cookie. In second place is Carmel deLites, also called Samoas.
This data also appeared in Better Homes & Gardens in an article titled It's Official: America Votes Thin Mints as the Best Girl Scout Cookie.
Women (28%) are more likely than men (20%) to say Thin Mints are their favorite kind of Girl Scout cookie.
One in 10 Americans says their favorite Girl Scout cookie is Peanut Butter Patties (which you might also know as Tagalongs), while fewer chose Shortbread/Trefoils (7%), Caramel Chocolate Chip (6%), or Do-si-dos (5%).
Earlier this month, one Girl Scout troop made the news after they set up a table to sell cookies outside a Chicago marijuana dispensary. YouGov asked about a similar incident in 2018, when a Girl Scout in California sold more than 300 boxes in six hours outside a marijuana dispensary.
Most (67%) US adults at the time said, “Girl Scouts should be allowed to sell boxes outside any legal establishment” while 17 percent said the group should not be allowed to sell boxes outside establishments that are considered controversial.
