Honey Nut Cheerios, Listerine and Frito-Lay: US Advertisers of the Month for June 2024

Honey Nut Cheerios, Listerine and Frito-Lay are America’s Advertisers of the Month for June 2024. Advertisers of the Month are brands that show the largest monthly increases in Ad Awareness, a measure of how many consumers have seen an ad for a brand in the past two weeks.

Honey Nut Cheerios is June’s Advertiser of the Month, moving from an Advertising Awareness score of 17.5% to 22.8%, for a total gain of 5.3 percentage points. “Love Language,” a recent TV spot featuring cast members of The Office may have helped with this lift. In the commercial, Angela, Phyllis, and Stanley enjoy a bowl of cereal served by BuzzBee.

Listerine, moved from an Ad Awareness score of 10.3% to 14.8% rising 4.5 points, the second largest gain of any tracked brand in June. The mouthwash brand leveraged a broad range of influencer partners, from medical doctors to food bloggers to lifestyle personalities in its recent social media campaigns.

America’s third Advertiser of the Month is Frito-Lay, the snack-slinging subsidiary of PepsiCo. Frito-Lay’s offerings include Fritos, Cheetos, Doritos and Tostitos as well as non-rhyming potato chip brands Lay’s, Ruffles and Walkers. Frito-Lay reached a peak Ad Awareness score of 19.8%in June, up from 15.4%. Jack Link’s “Meat Your Flavor” video spots may have contributed to this rise.

Methodology: YouGov BrandIndex collects data on thousands of brands every day. A brand’s Ad Awareness score is based on the question: “Which of the following consumer brands have you seen an advertisement for in the past two weeks?” Data from surveys of adults aged 18 years and above residing in the US from May 26 and June 25, 2024. Ad Awareness scores are based on a four-week moving average.
