Manchester United’s Buzz scores among UK consumers improved from -11.5 to -6.4, earning it the top spot in the Football Buzz Movers list for the market. The Red Devils had a mixed month in the Premier League, with wins over Brentford and Sheffield United getting soured by a big loss to Manchester City.

Some of the improvement may have simply had to do with mean reversion. The club’s scores have previously declined and there have been talks of a potential take-over of ownership by Qatari businessman Sheikh Jassim.

Current La Liga table-toppers Girona FC follow next on the list with a 5.8-point rise. Real Betis Balompié, Granada and Espanyol also feature in the ranking.

The club went uunbeaten across the Champions League and Bundesliga in the month (even if they got comprehensively beaten by rivals Bayern in early November), and are currently leading their Champions League group.
