UK Travel Advertiser of the Month: On the Beach
January saw On the Beach registering the most significant increase in Ad Awareness of all the travel brands we track in the UK, making it the Travel Advertiser of the Month. According to data from YouGov BrandIndex, which tracks perceptions toward brands daily, the travel services company saw an improvement of 12 percentage points, going from 5.4 on December 25, 2022, to 17.4 on January 24, 2023.
Late last year the brand announced the return of Free Fast Track. This allows travellers who have booked through On the Beach to access the airport fast track security lane. The travel services company followed this up by announcing another perk of booking with them - Free Airport Lounge.
YouGov data reveals that On the Beach has seen an uptick in its Consideration score. Britons are more likely to consider booking through On the Beach the next time they’re in the market to book a holiday (+2.3 percentage points).

Methodology: YouGov BrandIndex collects data on thousands of brands every day. A brand’s Ad Awareness score is based on the question: “Which of the following consumer brands have you seen an advertisement for in the past two weeks?” Data from surveys of adults aged 18 years and above residing in UK from December 25, 2022, and January 24, 2023. Ad Awareness scores are based on a four-week moving average. The change in scores for each brand is calculated by taking the difference between the highest and lowest scoring days within the period.
