YouGov Retail Rankings 2021 Norway

Marking the first in our annual retail Rankings series, YouGov’s Retail Rankings 2021 reveals the top ranked consumer brands within the sector. The Rankings are based on Index score from YouGov BrandIndex, which is a measure of overall brand health calculated by taking the average of Impression, Quality, Value, Satisfaction, Recommend and Reputation over a period of 12 months.

In Norway, retail brand Kiwi leads Supermarkets & food list this year with a score of 38. Rema 1000 came in second scoring 31.6. But chasing close behind, Meny came in third with a score of 31. In fourth position was Vinmonopolet scoring 29.9. Rounding out the top five Extra scored 24.9.

Retail brand Clas Ohlson leads the General Retail list this year with a score of 34.4. But chasing close behind, IKEA came in second with a score of 33.8. In third position was Elkjøp scoring 28. In fourth position was Apotek 1 scoring 26.9. Rounding out the top five Jernia scored 25.9.

Methodology:

The brands in YouGov Retail Rankings were ranked based on their Index score, which is a measure of overall brand health calculated by taking the average of Impression, Quality, Value, Satisfaction, Recommend and Reputation over a period of 12 months.

The rankings chart shows the brands with the highest average index score between 1st September 2020 and 31st August 2021. The scores are representative of the general population of adults 18+ (some are online representative).

All scores listed have been rounded to a single decimal place; however, we have used additional precision to assign ranks. All brands have been tracked for at least 6 months to be included in the rankings and have been tracked for at least 18 months to appear in the Improvers tables.
