US: Most in-demand TV and film for November 1-15, 2023
Friends, Five Nights at Freddy’s and Killers of the Flower Moon are the most in-demand titles in America for the first half of November. The chart below comes from YouGov Signal, a social listening tool that tracks the performance of TV programs, movies and brands. Appetite Score is a value from 0-100 that measures the demand for given titles by combining web searches and Wikipedia lookups. Here are the ones with the highest peak Appetite Scores among US audiences in the past two weeks:
Classic sitcom Friends is back on America’s radar, with the highest Appetite Score of any title between November 1-15. Sadly, this boost in web searches and Wikipedia lookups is likely related to the untimely death of star Matthew Perry who played wise-cracking Chandler Bing on the sitcom.
Video-game spinoff Five Nights at Freddy’s continues to captivate America, rising to the second spot on this list. Released at the same time in theatres and On Peacock, the horror film is about
four murderous animatronic mascots in a family entertainment centre.
Martin Scorsese’s Killers of the Flower Moon is the third most in-demand title in the US. Focussing on a series of murders in the Osage Nation in 1920’s, the film features long-time Scorsese collaborators Leonardo DiCaprio, Robert DeNiro and composer Robbie Robertson.
Blockbuster anime series Attack on Titan aired its finale earlier this month, after nearly a hundred episodes. Excitement about the conclusion helped to push the title to number seven on this list, with an Appetite Score of 99.23. Hailed by critics and audiences alike, the series has nine entries on IMDBs top 100 TV episodes by rating.
