Beef, The Night Agent and The Diplomat are the three most-streamed shows in the US for April 2023. The data comes from YouGov Stream, which is an opt-in online behaviour tracker which collects global viewership data from a panel of more than 160,000 activated accounts. The chart below shows how many views and viewers each title had on the platform where it was most popular. The chart also shows the average number of views per viewer (Vs/Vr), which is an indicator of how much consumers are bingeing a particular title.
Beef, a dark comedy-drama from Netflix, is the most-streamed title in America for April 2023. Data from our social listening tool, YouGov Signal indicates that Beef was one of the most in-demand titles for the month of April so its streaming success is no surprise. Starring Steven Yeun and Ali Won, the series depicts an escalating feud between two strangers after a near accident in a parking lot.
The Night Agent, which was the most-streamed title for March, slipped to a still-impressive second place, with 152m views from 24.4m viewers. Netflix released the entire premier season of the spy thriller on March 23.
In third place is The Diplomat created by Debora Cahn. The new political thriller was released by Netflix on April 20. The series focuses on a US ambassador to the UK named Kate Wyler. Wyler deals with the drama and intrigue of high politics as well as of her marriage to a fellow diplomat. The immediate hit was renewed for a second season in May.
Better Call Saul, the fourth-most-streamed show in April also has the highest views to viewers ratio, with each viewer streaming an average of nine episodes.
Apple TV’s sole entry on this month’s top ten is Ted Lasso, the feel-nice comedy about an American football-with-hands coach moving to the UK to manage a football-with-feet team. The third season began streaming weekly on March 15.
Judy Justice is an offering from Amazon’s FreeVee ad-based streaming service, and is also available on Prime Video. The spin-off of Judge Judy features the same star, Judy Sheindlin, meting out her characteristic brand of arbitration.
