Following the unveiling of household robot prototypes at CES 2025 in Las Vegas, we conducted a survey to gauge interest among American adults. According to our research data from YouGov Surveys: Self-serve tool, two in five Americans are interested in having a robot to assist with household tasks (38%).

Additionally, 8% of adults earning between $40,000 and $79,999 are willing to pay more than $5,000.

This is followed by privacy and data security (48%), safety for family members (43%), space constraints (33%) and potential job displacement (21%).

As for when household robots will become common in American homes, opinions vary. Only 7% believe this will happen within the next two years, while 15% expect it in three to five years. The majority predict a longer timeline: 22% say six to ten years, and 24% believe it will take more than a decade. One in 10 Americans think household robots will never become common.
