Old American sitcoms continue to command huge numbers of downloads from relatively small audiences. Viewers of The Big Bang Theory, for example, streamed an average of 47 episodes each in the month of July. The Office and Brooklyn Nine-Nine were not far behind with an average of 33 and 32 views per viewer, respectively.
The Boys made a significant leap, rising by seven positions to third place with 40.4m views. The show drew the largest audience of any title on the list with over 7.2m viewers in July. Amazon Prime Video released the final season in weekly installments, starting on June 13 and culminating in a July 18 finale, which likely boosted viewership.
Those About to Die, is a title derived from the traditional greeting of Roman gladiators. Like the ancient games, the series promises swords, sandals, sex and spectacle. The new entry from Prime Video secured the eighth spot with 20 million views and 4.2 million viewers.
Supacell, premiered on June 27 and has made the top ten in its first month streaming on Netflix. Set in South London, the series follows a group of black people who suddenly develop superpowers. The show was streamed 18.7m times by an audience of 5m.
