Report for WCEF2023: Nordic consumer perceptions on the circular economy
The results were first presented at World Circular Economic Forum 2023 in Helsinki, on May 30th, 2023
The questions behind the survey have been worked out in collaboration with Nordic Innovation, an organization under the Nordic Council of Ministers, the Finnish innovation fund Sitra, and additional consumer-oriented WCEF-partners. Hence, the report shows data related to consumer-oriented aspects and preferences towards Circular Economy among the surveyed populations in Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland as well as opinions on global targets and initiatives to counterbalance climate changes and loss of biodiversity.

On the survey
The survey was carried out during the period April 26 – May 2, 2023, via YouGov Surveys, using standardized online interviews within the YouGov Panels in Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland. Iceland, despite being part of the Nordics, was excluded from the survey due to lack of access to data.
The results are weighted and representative for the adult population (18+) in the countries surveyed.
A total of 1030 interviews were conducted in Sweden, 1014 in Denmark, 1016 in Norway and 1018 in Finland.
