UAE’s September Advertiser of the Month – iPhone, Sharaf DG, and Hardee’s
iPhone saw the largest growth this month in terms of Ad Awareness in UAE, followed by Sharaf DG at number two and Hardee’s in third place. According to YouGov BrandIndex data, which tracks brand perception on a daily basis, these three brands saw the highest increase in Ad Awareness during September.
The Ad Awareness question asks consumers if they have seen an advertisement for a brand in the previous two weeks, and the difference in scores (highest vs lowest) for the month determines our Advertisers of the Month.
iPhone saw its Ad Awareness score rise by 10.7 percentage points, from 48.2% on August 28 to 58.9% on September 24. The new iPhone 16 and 16 Plus series was launched during this period.
On second place is Sharf DG which had an increase of 7.4 percentage points, from 17.7% on September 9 to 25.1% on September 24.
Ranking third on our list is Hardee’s which had an increase of 7.2 percentage points in Ad Awareness from 15.3% on September 6 to 22.5% on September 24,2024.
Methodology: YouGov BrandIndex collects data on thousands of brands every day. A brand’s Ad Awareness score is based on the question: “Which of the following consumer brands have you seen an advertisement for in the past two weeks?” Data from surveys of adults aged 18 years and above residing in UAE from 26 August to 25 September 2024. Ad Awareness scores are based on a four-week moving average. The change in scores for each brand is calculated by taking the difference between the highest and lowest scoring days within the period.
