Saudi Arabia’s August Advertiser of the Month – Vox Cinemas, Emaar and Bounty
Vox Cinemas saw the largest growth this month in terms of Ad Awareness in KSA, followed by Emaar at number two and Bounty in third place. According to YouGov BrandIndex data, which tracks brand perception on a daily basis, these three brands saw the highest increase in Ad Awareness during August.
The Ad Awareness question asks consumers if they have seen an advertisement for a brand in the previous two weeks, and the difference in scores (highest vs lowest) for the month determines our Advertisers of the Month.
Vox Cinemas saw its Ad Awareness score rise by 7.4 percentage points, from 14.6% on August 1 to 22% on August 25. The brand announced that it is the only cinema chain in the MENA region to screen “Seventeen Tour ‘Follow’ Again To Cinemas” featuring various K-pop stars.
On second place is Emaar which had an increase of 7.2 percentage points, from 24.3% on July 26 to 31.5% on August 16.
Ranking third on our list is Bounty which had an increase of 6.4 percentage points in Ad Awareness from 7.2% on August 1 to 13.6% on August 25,2024.
Methodology: YouGov BrandIndex collects data on thousands of brands every day. A brand’s Ad Awareness score is based on the question: “Which of the following consumer brands have you seen an advertisement for in the past two weeks?” Data from surveys of adults aged 18 years and above residing in KSA from 26 July to 25 August 2024. Ad Awareness scores are based on a four-week moving average. The change in scores for each brand is calculated by taking the difference between the highest and lowest scoring days within the period.
