Gaming Buzz – July 2024: Fortnite’s big Buzz leap

Fortnite saw the most significant surge in buzz for July 2024 in the UK, with an impressive 9.2-point increase. This boost could be due to the launch of Fortnite Reload, which arrived in the latter half of June.

Assassin's Creed follows with a 4.8-point rise, probably bolstered by the excitement that has been surrounding the upcoming release Assassin’s Creed Shadows which takes the franchise to feudal Japan. A trailer for the game was launched in June.

"Overwatch" also experienced a notable increase, rising by 4.2 points. Recent talking points around the franchise have included open deliberations about a potential reversion to the 6v6 format, with the studio revealing that they might test the format in various settings.

"Royal Match" leads the pack in the US with a 6.1-point increase. The game produced by Turkey’s first unicorn, Dream Games, recently posted a major revenue update, which had it surpass Candy Crush​.

"VALORANT" saw a substantial rise of 5.3 points. The franchise has generated traction over the game’s arrival to consoles – although currently available only in beta.

"MONOPOLY GO!" rounds out the top three in the US with a 4.4-point increase.
