Euro 2024 boosts EA Sports FC Consideration rates in key markets
With the UEFA European Championship 2024 having kicked off on June 15, we look at whether excitement for the tournament is likely to bring more gamers to the EA Sports FC. The survey tracks the percentage of gamers who say they would consider playing the football title in three key markets – Britain, France and Germany.
The data is based on the Consideration metric housed within YouGov BrandIndex. The metric tracks the share of an audience who say they would consider playing a title.
In the UK, Consideration rates displayed a notable increase as the tournament approached, jumping from 5.6% on June 11 to 8.4% on June 16, the highest rate observed in this period.
The rise among French gamers has been even more dramatic. Consideration scores in the market have peaked at 12.6% on June 16 – more than twice the rate registered a month ago (5.2%).
Consideration rates in the host market – Germany – have remained somewhat stable, dipping slightly from 9% on May 18 to 7.1% on June 17. It will be interesting to see how things shape up as the tournament progresses, especially with the home team having kicked the campaign off with a resounding 5-1 win over Scotland.
