Lowe’s, Powerball, and Skechers: US Advertisers of the Month for April 2024
Lowe’s, Powerball, and Skechers are America’s Advertisers of the Month for April 2024. Advertisers of the Month are brands that show the largest monthly increases in Ad Awareness, a measure of how many consumers have seen an ad for a brand in the past two weeks.
Lowe’s is America’s Advertiser of the Month for April, with a peak Ad Awareness score of 37.7%, up from 31.8% on March 26th. The DIY chain recently launched a campaign promoting MyLowe’s Rewards program which aims to attract loyal millenial homeowners, and may have contributed to the lift in Ad Awareness.
Ad Awareness for the PowerBall lottery rose 5.8 points last month, to a peak of 33.7%. This boost in awareness is likely related to a $1.3 billion jackpot that was finally won at the beginning of April. The last time a ticket produced a jackpot was January 1st.
Skechers is known for partnering with high-profile brand ambassadors to promote its products. Recently, 80’s icon Mr. T helped promote the brand's hands-free slip-in shoes. The shoe brand also partnered with celebrity trainer and TV personality Amanda Kloots to promote the women’s line of slip-ins. These partnerships have helped Skechers move from 26.8% Ad Awareness to 32.4%, a gain of 5.6 percentage points.

Methodology: YouGov BrandIndex collects data on thousands of brands every day. A brand’s Ad Awareness score is based on the question: “Which of the following consumer brands have you seen an advertisement for in the past two weeks?” Data from surveys of adults aged 18 years and above residing in the US from March 26 and April 25, 2024. Ad Awareness scores are based on a four-week moving average. The change in scores for each brand is calculated by taking the difference between the highest and lowest scoring days within the period.
