According to data from YouGov BrandIndex, Premier Inn’s Advertising Awareness score (the percentage of consumers who have seen an ad for a brand) grew by roughly 4 points, from 16.3% of consumers at the start of July to 20% at the end of August.

The surge in awareness could be attributed to a few recent marketing activities and events, including:

  • New locations: The opening of two new hub hotels in London (Clerkenwell and Camden) underscores Premier Inn’s focus on business travel.

  • Recruitment drive: Premier Inn's active participation in the “Hospitality Rising UK” campaign, the largest-ever hospitality recruitment movement in the UK, may have further fuelled awareness of the brand. Premier Inn’s involvement shows its commitment to not only providing exceptional guest experiences but also contributing to the growth of the hospitality sector by creating employment opportunities.

  • Pledge to address water stress: Whitbread, owner of Premier Inn, has announced a target to cut water consumption by 20% per sleeper by 2030 by rolling out water-saving technologies such as upgraded WC valves, water-efficient shower heads and flow restrictors on taps.
