The top five most in-demand titles in the first half of June looks similar to those at the end of May, with four of the top five titles being holdovers from that period. However, many of these titles have had recent season finales.
Manchester City won its first Champions League title on June 10, at Atatürk Olympic Stadium in Istanbul, and Sevilla were victorious in the Europa League final on May 31 in Budapest. Season finales of Succession and Apple TV’s Ted Lasso were released on May 28 and 30, respectively. Dramatic conclusions to these titles may be fuelling online demand but could also herald changes in the coming weeks.
The new Transformers movie, released on June 8 in the UK, is the sixth most in-demand title for the first half of June. It’s the seventh installment in the movie franchise, based on the 1980’s Hasbro toy-line. It’s one of three theatrical releases on the list for this period, along with John Wick 4, at number nine, and marketing-drama Air at number seven.
