Following the death of billionaire industrialist Cyrus Mistry in a car accident, the Indian government has announced plans to make wearing seatbelts on backseats mandatory. But how do Indians – and more particularly car owners – feel about more safety features in their cars?
Data from YouGov Profiles – which covers demographic, psychographic, attitudinal, and behavioral consumer metrics – shows overwhelming support for more safety features among Indian consumers in general and even higher support among car owners.
Around 77% of car owners* want their cars equipped with as many safety features as possible.
