UK Auto Advertiser of the Month: Škoda
Škoda registered the biggest increase in Ad Awareness for August 2022 among all the auto brands we track in the UK, making it the Auto Advertiser of the Month. According to YouGov BrandIndex, which tracks perceptions toward brands daily, the Czech carmaker saw an improvement of 2.4 percentage points, going from 4.8 on July 25 to 7.2 on August 18.
Earlier last month, the car brand supported the Tour de France Femmes avec ZWIFT as the main partner with their campaign ‘You have to love it. We all do’. This campaign could have contributed to their increased Ad Awareness.
Škoda has been the main official partner for men’s Tour de France since 2004 and has since extended support to women cycling as well. Judging from the strong Ad Awareness results, it has, at the very least, succeeded in connecting with the audience and lingering in their memories.
Methodology: YouGov BrandIndex collects data on thousands of brands every day. A brand’s Ad Awareness score is based on the question: “Which of the following consumer brands have you seen an advertisement for in the past two weeks?” Data from surveys of adults aged 18 years and above residing in UK from July 25 and August 25. Ad Awareness scores are based on a four-week moving average. The change in scores for each brand is calculated by taking the difference between the highest and lowest scoring days within the period.
