UK Financial Advertiser of the Month: Barclays

Barclays is the UK Financial Advertiser of the Month for April 2022. With Ad Awareness scores, a measure of whether the public have seen or heard an advertisement for a brand in the past two weeks, rising from 8.4 to 9.7, it saw an uplift of 1.3 points – more than any other financial services brand that we track.

The movement is not significant enough to attribute it to any one specific campaign: Barclays launched two separate series of Street Talk and Worth Every Penny videos within the last year – which spotlight regular people and their views on home ownership in a straightforward yet in-depth style. The campaign also ties into the bank’s TV campaign focused on the Family Springboard Mortgage. It’s not clear yet whether these efforts will lead to more signups, but they have generated sufficient awareness of Barclays’ ads to give it the Advertiser of the Month crown for April 2022.
