The most anticipated game announcements of E3 2021
Video games are the main headliners at the annual Electronic Entertainment Experience (E3) and there’s plenty of potential game announcements to be excited about including those for titles such as Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2, Halo Infinite and Battlefield 2042.
YouGov partnered with TechRadar
to preview excitement among console/PC gamers in the US and Great Britain for potential video game announcements at E3 2021. The votes are now in and Link’s next adventure, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2, captured the top spot as the most anticipated game among American (32%) and British (19%) gamers.
What other titles are American gamers most excited for? In the US, gamers are also excited about the upcoming sequel to God of War (21%) as well as Battlefield 2042 (20%) and Halo Infinite (18%). More than two-thirds of American gamers say they’re excited about at least one of the ten game titles included in the poll (vs. 38% of US adults).
A slim majority of British gamers say they’re excited about at least one of the games on the list (57%). Two first-person shooters, Battlefield 2042 (15%) and Halo Infinite (13%), are high on the list of most anticipated games among British gamers too.
Hogwarts Legacy, a new RPG adventure game set in the Harry Potter universe, also has the attention of 14% of gamers in Great Britain.
