People who live in the West were more likely than people in other regions to say the decision was fair.

White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders was recently asked to leave Red Hen restaurant in Lexington, Virginia, reportedly because of her role in the Trump administration. New data from YouGov shows that nearly half (49%) of Americans think that asking Sanders to leave the restaurant was “unfair.”

There are some stark differences in the responses from Republicans and Democrats. About four out of five (81%) Republicans say the decision was “unfair”, compared to only 32% of Democrats who feel the same. Almost half (49%) of Democrats say the decision was “fair.”

There are also some slight regional differences. People who live in the West were more likely than people in other regions to say the decision was fair (38%), although a larger percentage (45%) still say it was unfair. In the South, which tends to be more Republican, people were more likely than other regions to say the decision was “unfair,” with 53% choosing this option.
