America’s most-streamed TV, July 2023: Suits, The Witcher and Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan
Suits, The Witcher and Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan are the three most-streamed shows in America for July 2023. The data comes from YouGov Stream, which collects global viewership data from a panel of more than 160,000 accounts. The chart below shows how many views and viewers each title had on the platform where it was most popular. The chart also shows the average number of views per viewer (Vs/Vr), which is an indicator of how much consumers are bingeing a particular title.
Legal drama Suits, which aired its last episode in 2019, is the most-streamed show in America for July 2023. On Netflix alone (the series also streams on Peacock), the series amassed nearly half a billion (492.8m) streams, more than twice that of the runner-up, The Witcher. Given that the Netflix only began streaming the nine-season catalogue on June 17, it’s entirely possible that the program will appear on this list again in August.
The Blacklist’s 5.7m viewers streamed an average of 27 episodes each in July, making it the most-binged title of the month. This surge in interest may be due to the impending release of the tenth and final season of the thriller. NBC aired the series finale on July 13 and the entire season is expected to appear on Netflix early this fall.
Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan, the third-most streamed title in July, is the only non-Netflix show to make the top-ten list this month. The fourth and final season of the spy thriller was released on Amazon Prime Video starting on June 30, 2023.
British sexual frustration contest, Too Hot to Handle is the only reality show to make the list this month, coming in at number ten. The show revolves around ten contestants who are placed in a house together and forbidden from making any sexual contact with other contestants or themselves. They’re supervised by a cone-shaped virtual assistant named Lana who reduces the prize money at stake every time contestants are caught violating the rules.
