US: Delta-American Express launch new travel savings offer - But how many of its flyers use Express?
Delta Air Lines is introducing a new perk called “TakeOff 15” for its customers. Members of the airlines’ SkyMiles programme, who are also American Express cardholders, can get 15% off on Delta ‘award’ flights booked via the airline’s app or website. With the new offer, customers can access miles discounts and book their flight using fewer miles, effectively increasing the value of Delta miles.
How many of Delta’s SkyMiles members currently have an American Express credit card account?
According to YouGov Profiles - which covers demographic, psychographic, attitudinal and behavioral consumer metrics - Chase is the top choice (38%) for current Delta customers.
American Express ranks second with 35% of current Delta Air Lines SkyMiles’ members holding a credit card account with the company. In comparison, just 14% of the general US population holds a credit card account with American Express.
