US: The Honest Company to have a new CEO early next year – How did it do under its current chief?
American baby and beauty products retailer, The Honest Company, has announced the transition of its incumbent CEO, Nick Vlahos, from his current role to the company’s board of directors. Come January 2023 and Vlahos will pass the baton to Carla Vernón, who comes with past experience at General Mills and, most recently, Amazon.
How did The Honest Company perfom under Vlahos’ tenure as CEO?
Vlahos has clocked in nearly six years as the retailer’s CEO, taking over the postion in early 2017. According to YouGov BrandIndex - which tracks consumer sentiment towards thousands of brands daily – The Honest Company’s Index and Current Customer metrics have improved over the course of six years.
The brand’s Index metric - which is an overall measure of brand health, made up of General Impression, Customer Satisfaction, Quality, Value, Corporate Reputation and Recommendation – grew modestly from a net score of 5.6 on 1 July 2017 to 6.6 on 13 December 2022. The metric recorded its highest net score of 9.8 on 18 October 2020.
Similarly, The Honest Company’s Current Customer metric was 1.3% on 1 July 2017 and touched 2.2% on 13 December 2022.
