US Travel Advertiser of the Month: Hilton
Hilton registered the biggest increase in Ad Awareness for August 2022 of all the travel brands we track in the US, making it the Travel Advertiser of the Month. According to data from YouGov BrandIndex, which tracks perceptions toward brands daily, the hotel chain saw an improvement of 3.9 percentage points, going from 9.6 on July 28 to 13.5 on August 24.
The brand’s latest ad campaign, ‘Hilton. For the Stay’, pokes fun in a series of short videos at what could go wrong when booking a hotel room. The campaign aims to remind travellers that ‘It Matters Where You Stay’.
According to YouGov’s travel rankings, another Hilton brand – Hilton Garden Inn – found itself as the runner-up in the US for the gains it made in Ad Awareness in August (+2.5 percentage points).
Methodology: YouGov BrandIndex collects data on thousands of brands every day. A brand’s Ad Awareness score is based on the question: “Which of the following consumer brands have you seen an advertisement for in the past two weeks?” Data from surveys of adults aged 18 years and above residing in US from July 25 and August 24. Ad Awareness scores are based on a four-week moving average. The change in scores for each brand is calculated by taking the difference between the highest and lowest scoring days within the period.
