YouGov Recommend Rankings 2021 Malaysia
In Malaysia, the most recommended brand was Shopee, with an average score of 90.9. The second spot was taken by Nivea with a score of 88.3. In third and fourth position were Uniqlo and Dettol with an average score of 86.8 and 85.3 respectively. Rexona came in fifth, rounding out the top five with 84.6.
Top Improvers in the YouGov Recommend Rankings 2021 Malaysia
Malindo Airlines came up on top in the most improved recommended brand list, with a rise of +10.9 points, ahead of Cotton On (up +7.4 points) and Tokio Marine (which has improved by +6.8 points). The fourth and fifth position were Proton (+6.5 points) and Maggi (+6.3 points).

Methodology:
- The rankings are based on YouGov BrandIndex’s positive Recommend score, which measures the percentage of a brand’s customers who would recommend it to a friend or colleague.
- Every brand in our Rankings has a minimum sample of 300 and has been tracked for at least 6 months, with all scores being rounded to a single decimal place.
- The rankings show the brands with the highest average Recommend score between 1st June 2020 - 31st May 2021 compared to 1st June 2019 - 31st May 2020 for the top improvers.
- Scores are representative of the general population unless specified (some markets are representative of the online population).
- The Rankings data can be further developed with YouGov Recommend+, a fresh approach to understanding consumer advocacy.
