Norlys saw the largest growth this month in terms of Ad Awareness in Denmark, followed by Trivago at number two and JobIndex in third place. According to YouGov BrandIndex data, which tracks brand perception on a daily basis, these three brands saw the highest increase in Ad Awareness during January.
The Ad Awareness question asks consumers if they have seen an advertisement for a brand in the previous two weeks, and the difference in scores (highest vs lowest) for the month determines our Advertisers of the Month.
The current sponsor of the men's national handball team Norlys saw its Ad Awareness score rise by 10.5 percentage points, from 11.0% on January 1st to 21.5% on January 31st. One reason for the highly recognisable awareness is certainly the World Handball Championship, which took place at the beginning of the year.
On second place is Trivago which had an increase of 8.6 percentage points, from 6.3% on January 1st to 15.0% on January 28th. Ranking third on our list is JobIndex which had an increase of 8.4 percentage points in Ad Awareness from 1.2% on January 13th to 9.6% on January 31st, 2025.
Methodology: BrandIndex collects data on thousands of brands every day. A brand’s Ad Awareness score is based on the question: “Which of the following consumer brands have you seen an advertisement for in the past two weeks?” and delivered as a percentage. The data is based on the interviews of Danish adults aged 18+ between January 1st and January 31st, 2025. Learn more about BrandIndex.
