Dad rankings: Which e-commerce brands are winning over Indian dads?

With Father’s Day just around the corner, we've tapped into the power of YouGov BrandIndex - a syndicated brand tracker which continuously collects data on thousands of brands every day. Focusing on the retail sector, we analyzed the most considered brands among urban Indian dads between the period of 1st May 2023 and 30th April 2024.

And the winners are...

Among the e-commerce brands tracked by YouGov BrandIndex in India, Amazon stands tall at number one position, capturing the hearts of Indian dads with an impressive score of 75.1. Close behind is Flipkart, securing the second spot with a score of 67.6.

Groceries on the rise...

Interestingly, grocery brands are carving out a notable presence among Indian dads. Big Basket, Reliance Fresh and Flipkart Supermart have all claimed positions in the list, ranking 5th, 7th and 8th respectively. This indicates that dads are increasingly turning to online platforms for their grocery shopping needs.

Methodology

YouGov BrandIndex collects data on thousands of brands every day. The brands in these rankings were ranked based on the Consideration score from hundreds of surveys between 1st May 2023 to 30th April 2024 . The brands were filtered to include respondents who are male and a parent or guardian of a child, and then ranked using Consideration scores. All scores listed have been rounded to a single decimal place; however, we have used additional precision to assign ranks. Base size is equal to 100 or more.
