TADA and foodpanda tie up: a winning match or long shot?
In late April, ride-hailing platform TADA and food delivery platform foodpanda announced a strategic partnership, which would see users of both platforms enjoy discounts on TADA rides and foodpanda orders within Singapore.
The tie-up will see up to 30,000 TADA users in Singapore enjoy a one-month pandapro subscription for free – which includes benefits such as free deliveries, special pick-up offers, and dine-in deals – and up to 30,000 pandapro subscribers in Singapore receive 25% discount vouchers (capped at $4) in their TADA accounts.
But do the target consumers of this partnership match up? How likely are food delivery services like foodpanda’s to interest TADA users – and would ride-hailing services, such as TADA’s, be of interest to foodpanda users?
Do TADA customers often order in meals or take out their food?
Latest data from YouGov Profiles show that almost half (49%) of TADA’s current users say they usually order in or take out their meals.
Notably, TADA users are more likely than the average Singapore consumer (43%) to indicate so.

Do most foodpanda customers use mobile apps to book transport?
Data from YouGov Profiles also show that three in five (60%) users of foodpanda say they use mobile apps for transportation.
Notably, foodpanda users are significantly more likely than the average Singapore consumer (46%) to indicate so.
Given TADA customers' propensity to order in / take out meals and foodpanda customers’ usage of mobile apps for transportation are both higher than average in Singapore, we won’t be surprised if all 30,000 pandapro subscriptions and TADA discount vouchers get eagerly snapped up.
