GB: Revolut adds Comic Relief to its charities list - How likely are consumers to donate?

Lesley Simeon - April 11th, 2023

Last month, financial services company Revolut announced a partnership with British charity Comic Relief. In time for Red Nose Day (17 March 2023), the collaboration enabled customers to log into Revolut’s app and donate to the charity.

We look at how likely are Revolut’s users to donate to a charity.

According to YouGov Profiles - which covers demographic, psychographic, attitudinal and behavioral consumer metrics - more than half of Revolut’s current users in Great Britain (57%) and 64% of the general British population are likely to donate to a charity in the next three months.

Comic Relief is the latest addition to the number of charities already available on the Revolut app for users to log into and donate to. We explore YouGov data to analyse how likely Revolut’s consumers are to donate to some of the charities that feature on the brand’s platform.

Data from Profiles reveals that 45% of Revolut users are likely to donate £1 to Cancer Research UK, if they are asked to. While 27% would donate to Save the Children, 27% would opt for Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity. Comic Relief (25%), British Red Cross (21%) and RSPCA (17%) are some of the other charities Revolut consumers are likely to donate to.
