UAE October Advertiser of the Month: Which brands made it to the top?

Global Village saw the largest growth this month in terms of Ad Awareness in the UAE, followed by Britannia at number two and Domino’s Pizza in third place. According to YouGov BrandIndex data, which tracks brand perception on a daily basis, these three brands saw the highest increase in Ad Awareness during September, making them our top three Advertisers of the Month in the UAE.

Ad Awareness asks consumers if they have seen an advertisement for the brand in the previous two weeks, and the difference between low and high scores for the month determines our Advertisers of the Month.

Global Village is coming in strong celebrating its 27th season. The opening of one of Dubai’s most visited entertainment venues has created enormous amounts of excitement in the market by showing glimpses of new attractions including House of Fears, Road of Asia, and Diggers Lab on its Instagram and Twitter accounts. YouGov BrandIndex shows Global Village’s Ad Awareness metric rose by 10.7 percentage points from 26.5% on September 26 to 37.3% on October 24.

Britannia, which is number two on our list, saw a rise of 8.2 percentage points from 13.6% on September 26 to 21.9% on October 24. The brand launched a Halloween contest in which some lucky winners could win free hampers and an Escape Room experience.

Ranking third on our list is Domino's Pizza which witnessed a rise of 6.2 percentage points from 17.7% on October 2 to 24% on October 25. Domino’s announced a BOGO offer on its Instagram and Twitter handle on celebrate their store’s anniversary.

Methodology
YouGov BrandIndex collects data on thousands of brands every day. A brand’s Ad Awareness score is based on the question: “Which of the following consumer brands have you seen an advertisement for in the past two weeks?” Data from surveys of adults aged 18 years and above residing in the UAE from 26 September to 25 October 2022. Ad Awareness scores are based on a four-week moving average. The change in scores for each brand is calculated by taking the difference between the highest and lowest scoring days within the period.
