US August Advertisers of the Month: Energizer, Liberty Mutual, and Verizon Wireless

According to data from YouGov BrandIndex - which monitors consumer perceptions toward brands daily – Energizer, Liberty Mutual, and Verizon Wireless registered the highest spikes in Ad Awareness in the US for the month of August 2022. Ad Awareness asks consumers if they have seen an advertisement for the brand in the past two weeks, and the difference between low and high scores for the month determine our Advertisers of the Month.

YouGov's monthly analysis indicates that Energizer recorded a rise of 4.8 points in its Ad Awareness score, the highest for the month. It saw a jump from 21.5% on July 26 to 26.3% on August 23. The bump could be associated with the launch of Energizer’s first 2150Wh portable power station.

Coming in second, Liberty Mutual saw its Ad Awareness score improve by 4.6 percentage points. Its score rose from 36.8% on July 26 to 41.4% on August 23. The global insurer recently released a new ad featuring pies and seagulls to highlight the ease of customizing insurance with the brand.

Rounding up the top three for August 2022 is Verizon Wireless which saw its Ad Awareness score move up 4.4 percentage points from 32.8% on July 27 to 37.2% on August 21. The rise could be associated with ‘Fuel the Love’ promotion campaign where Verizon is filling up consumer gas tanks at select locations.

YouGov BrandIndex collects data on thousands of brands every day. A brand’s Ad Awareness score is based on the question: “Which of the following consumer brands have you seen an advertisement for in the past two weeks?” Ad Awareness scores are delivered as a percentage.
