UK: Justmylook enters the offline space – But do Britons prefer buying beauty products in stores?
Online beauty retailer – Justmylook – opened its maiden offline store in Brighouse, Yorkshire, last month, offering nearly 2,000 products ranging from hair care to skincare and cosmetics to perfumes. The store will host more than 40 brands such as Yves Saint Laurent and Giorgio Armani.
When it comes to health and beauty products, do UK consumers prefer online shopping or in-store visits?
According to YouGov’s Profiles – which covers demographic, psychographic, attitudinal and behavioural consumer metrics - 21% of UK consumers buy all their health and beauty products offline while a further 21% buy mostly offline. In comparison, only 5% of Brits tend to all of their health and beauty needs online and just over one in ten shop mostly online (13%)
With a greater percentage of Britons preferring the offline channel to shop for health and beauty products, Justmylook might just be rewarded for having a brick-and-mortar presence right now.
