US Financial Services Advertiser of the Month: Cash App

Cash App is the US financial services Advertiser of the Month for January 2022. With Ad Awareness scores (which track whether consumers have seen an advertisement for a brand in the previous two weeks) rising from 8.3 to 10.2 – an increase of 1.9 points – the brand beat out every other brand in the sector.

It is hard to tether this increase to any specific marketing or advertising campaign – other metrics such as Index scores (a measure of overall brand health, and one which moved from 6.6 to 6.8 between the beginning and end of the month) or Impression scores (which saw a modest improvement from 7.4 to 8.1) have seen little movement. With this in mind, it’s possible that this success is a result of Cash App’s general, sustained communications efforts, as well as (perhaps) some renewed attention from new tax rules that apply to people who are paid via the platform and competitors such as Venmo. In any case, Cash App is the US financial services Advertiser of the Month for January 2022.
