US: Drug manufacturers with best reputations

We tap into YouGov BrandIndex to list the ten drug manufacturers with the highest reputation among consumers in America. The ‘Reputation’ metric in YouGov BrandIndex tracks whether consumers would be proud or embarrassed to work for a company.

The data shows that between November 2020 and November 2021, the brand with the highest average Reputation score is Bayer, with 28.7 points. The German-headquartered brand, which deals in pharmaceuticals such as Aspirin and life sciences, is in a partnership with the World Health Organisation (WHO) to help eliminate and control neglected tropical diseases.

Pfizer, which is the first brand (in collaboration with BioNTech) in the US to have received emergency use approval for their Covid-19 vaccine in December 2020, comes in second with 26.6 points. America’s two other popular vaccine manufacturers Johnson & Johnson (21.4) and Moderna (20.6) also feature in the top five. The third spot is claimed by Bausch and Lomb with 23.6 points.

In sixth place is Bristol-Myers Squibb with 16.3 points followed by Merck (14.1). Eli Lilly (13.5), GlaxoSmithKline (12.2) and AstraZenca (11.8) complete the list.
