Word of mouth is the most influential form of brand awareness and credibility, with people far more likely to trust the recommendations of someone they know over impersonal advertising.
Factors such as customer experience, brand image, brand values, emotion and consumer personality play a pivotal role in determining whether someone is likely to recommend your brand or not.
YouGov Recommend Rankings 2021 Finland
In Finland, the most recommended brand was Fiskars, with an average score of 83.7%. But competition for the top spot was fierce – and several car brands came close to Fiskars. Toyota coming in at a close second with a score of 83.0%. In third and fourth position were Mercedes-Benz (82.0%) and littala (81.6%). Kia came in fifth, rounding out the top five with 81.4%.
Top Improvers in the YouGov Recommend Rankings 2021 Finland
The travel company VR is the top improver of the year, having improved its recommend score with 8.1% since last year. The positive change might be attributed to the climate debate and its influence on the Finnish travelers.

Methodology
- The rankings are based on YouGov BrandIndex’s positive Recommend score, which measures the percentage of a brand’s customers who would recommend it to a friend or colleague.
- Every brand in our Rankings has a minimum sample of 100 and has been tracked for at least 6 months, with all scores being rounded to a single decimal place.
- The rankings show the brands with the highest average Recommend score between 1st June 2020 - 31st May 2021 compared to 1st June 2019 - 31st May 2020. The scores are representative of the general population of adults 18+.
