People who are 55 years or older are the least likely of any age group to have ever stood someone up on a date.

Many people have experienced the heart-wrenching blow of being stood up for a date – even movie stars like Tiffany Haddish, who said in a recent interview that Drake asked her out on a date and then stood her up. But the good news is that more than two-thirds of people say they’ve “never” stood someone up for a date, according to new research from YouGov.

When asked if they have ever stood someone up on a date, 69% of people said they hadn’t ever done so. Another 14% say they have stood someone up, but only once. And 7% of people say they have stood someone up on a date “several times.”

Men were more likely than women to say that they’d stood someone up on a date, with nearly a quarter of men (25%) saying that they had. About one in five women (19%) say they have stood someone up on a date.

People who are 55 years or older were the least likely of any age group to have ever stood someone up on a date. Three-quarters (75%) of people in this demographic say they have never stood someone up, compared to 63% of 18-24-year-olds who chose the same response.
