Canada Advertisers of the Month for June: Dairy Queen, DoorDash, and Trivago

June’s Canadian Advertisers of the Month are Dairy Queen, DoorDash, and Trivago, each showing increases in Ad Awareness, as measured by YouGov BrandIndex data between May 26 and June 25, 2025. Ad Awareness measures the percentage of consumers who have seen an advertisement for a brand in the past two weeks.

Dairy Queen leads with an impressive rise in Ad Awareness, increasing from 14.0% on May 27 to 21.2% on June 25, a jump of 7.2 percentage points. This boost is likely due to the ongoing visibility and sustained promotional efforts of its "Blizzard Banks" campaign. The campaign, originally introduced earlier this year with large-scale Blizzard-themed snowbanks in major Canadian cities including Ottawa, Winnipeg, and Calgary, continued to draw attention throughout June.

DoorDash experienced a 5.5 percentage-point increase, with Ad Awareness rising from 22.7% on May 26 to 28.2% on June 23. This growth can be linked to the sustained visibility of its lively “Your Door to More” campaign. First launched in February, the campaign featuring upbeat dance sequences set to ‘The Hamburger Song’ maintained a strong presence on national television, cinema, and video-on-demand platforms throughout late May and June.

Trivago rounds out the top three, gaining 5.1 percentage points as its Ad Awareness climbed from 23.0% on June 8 to 28.1% on June 25.

Methodology: YouGov BrandIndex collects data on thousands of brands every day. A brand’s Ad Awareness score is based on the question: “Which of the following consumer brands have you seen an advertisement for in the past two weeks?” (% Yes). Data from surveys of adults aged 18 years and above residing in Canada from 26 May to 25 June 2025. Ad Awareness scores are based on a four-week moving average. The change in scores for each brand is calculated by taking the difference between the highest and lowest scoring days within the period.
