May UK Advertisers of the month: Tesco Whoosh, Haribo and Gillette

According to data from YouGov BrandIndex, which tracks perceptions toward brands on a daily basis, Tesco Whoosh registered the biggest increase in Advertising Awareness for May 2025 of all brands YouGov tracks in the UK. The delivery service saw an uplift of 7 percentage points in the observation period.

Earlier in the month, Tesco became the first brand to partner with Deliveroo Express, as it trials Tesco Whoosh in Ireland.

Haribo is the brand with the second-highest uptick in Ad Awareness. Earlier in the month the brand released two advertisements, one for Nostalgix, Haribo’s soft jelly sweets, and the other for its fizzy, sweet and sour offering, Tangfastics. The confectionery brand’s score increased from 13.1% on May 1 to 18% on May 25 (+4.9 percentage points).

Rounding up the top three brands with the biggest uplift in Ad Awareness in the UK this May is Gillette. The brand saw a lift of 4.8 percentage points.

Methodology: BrandIndex collects data on thousands of brands every day. A brand’s Ad Awareness score is based on the question: “Which of the following consumer brands have you seen an advertisement for in the past two weeks?” and delivered as a percentage. The data is based on the interviews of British adults aged 18+ between April 26 and May 25, 2025. Learn more about BrandIndex.
