The most-streamed TV in the UK, April 2025: Black Mirror, Friends, and The Big Bang Theory

Clifton Mark - June 16th, 2025

Black Mirror, Friends, and The Big Bang Theory topped the UK streaming rankings in April 2025, with Netflix locking down the top seven spots and Prime Video securing the rest of the top ten. The chart once again shows a divide between heavily binged classics and broader-audience hits with lighter viewing patterns.

Black Mirror premiered at #1 with 52.9 million views and 9.6 million viewers. Despite a relatively modest 5 views per viewer, its broad appeal helped it top the rankings.

The next three spots belonged to shows with strong binge behavior. Friends rose one spot to #2 with 52.1 million views and 32 views per viewer, while The Big Bang Theory fell two spots to #3, logging 50.5 million views and 36 views per viewer. The Office (US) and Brooklyn Nine Nine both slipped one rank but continued to show strong rewatch rates of 28 and 26 views per viewer, respectively.

A newcomer to the comfort-binge category, Neighbours, debuted in the top ten at #10. The long-running Australian soap, newly available on Prime Video, drew 18.3 million views from just 919,000 viewers—an impressive 20 views per viewer. It now sits alongside the dominant American sitcoms as a fresh entry in the category of high-engagement, comfort-watch content.

Other new entries included You at #4 and House at #5. You drew 42 million views with a solid 7 views per viewer, fitting the typical pattern of narrative dramas that get watched once through. House, the medical procedural, had 34.1 million views and a high 18 views per viewer, confirming its ongoing appeal for those who enjoy episodic bingeing.

Further down, LOL: Last One Laughing UK dropped one place to #8, and Reacher saw the largest fall, dropping five spots to #9 after landing at #4 in March. Both Prime Video titles remained popular but showed lower engagement levels (4 views per viewer), consistent with their broader, one-time watch audiences.
