The most-streamed TV in the US, April 2025: Black Mirror, Young Sheldon, and You
Netflix dominated US streaming in April 2025, claiming seven of the top ten titles, while Prime Video filled the remaining slots. Black Mirror led the rankings with over 178 million views, and a fresh wave of high-performing shows knocked several March favorites—like Running Point and Severance—out of the top ten entirely.
At #1, Black Mirror pulled in 178.6 million views from more than 30 million viewers. While its 6 views per viewer suggests typical anthology-style consumption, the show’s reach was unmatched this month.
Right behind it was Young Sheldon, with 172.8 million views and just 6.2 million viewers. That’s an enormous 28 views per viewer, placing it firmly in the binge-heavy comfort-watch category that’s often dominated by older sitcoms like Friends and The Big Bang Theory.
You returned to the chart at #3 with 170.9 million views and 22.9 million viewers — a 7 views per viewer ratio reflecting its appeal for front-to-back season binges. While its binge intensity wasn’t as high as Young Sheldon, its strong audience base made it one of the month’s biggest overall draws.
Prime Video held its ground with three new entries: Bosch: Legacy at #4 (103.5 million views), The Bondsman at #5 (102.8 million), and returning series The Wheel of Time at #9 (78.2 million). All three saw 5–6 views per viewer, indicating strong but steady engagement.
Further down, Netflix’s Pulse, The Residence, and Ransom Canyon filled the mid-to-lower tier of the top ten, all landing between 79 and 102 million views. The Residence dropped two spots from March, and The Wheel of Time slipped three. Reacher fell from first in March to tenth in April — a 9-spot fall — as newer content took center stage.
April’s chart reflects the power of brand-new entries to quickly dominate US viewership, but also reinforces that rewatchable, episodic shows like Young Sheldon can still outperform big-budget originals through sheer binge appeal.
