Word of mouth is the most influential form of brand awareness and credibility, with people far more likely to trust the recommendations of someone they know over impersonal advertising.
Factors such as customer experience, brand image, brand values, emotion and consumer personality play a pivotal role in determining whether someone is likely to recommend your brand or not.
In Norway, the most recommended brand was Toyota, with an average score of 81.3%. But competition for the top spot was fierce – and several car brands came close to Toyota. Volvo coming in at a close second with a score of 79.4%. In third and fourth position were BMW (74.7%) and Mercedes-Benz (74.4%). Audi came in fifths, rounding out the top five with 73.2%.
The sports brand XXL is the top improver of the year, having improved its recommend score with 13.7% since last year. Second is Dressmann (6.8%) and third is Obs Bygg (6.7%).
